Facing a Reraise in Loose Fixed Limit Games

When there has been a raise and a reraise before it is your turn to act, there are not many hands that are profitable. After other players have shown strength, the hands you choose to play needs to be stronger still. This table describes how to act in loose games, none the less only the strongest hands are playable.

The monster hands that are playable are also re-re-raisable. Always play, and always raise with the three best pairs: AA, KK, QQ and the best non-pair hand: AKs. The other hands should really only be played if you are certain that the raises before you come from players with loose raising requirements. This table assumes that, hence: the strongest suited hands (AQs-AJs, KQs), the missing face pairs (JJ-TT), and the strongest offsuit starting hand (AK) are marked in red as well.

It is important to not acquire a selective memory. Just because you have seen reraising with QT at the table that you are sitting at, do not assume that this is always the case. If the player that puts in the reraise this time is a conservative player, then the general looseness at the table is of secondary interest. Even against the player that you saw reraise with QT, a hand like K Q is at best marginally profitable. Remember that unless you re-re-raise, the pot will certainly be multiway. So there is at least one other player contending for the pot, and it definitely should not be unconceivable that the loose reraiser has a real hand.

The table with preflop recommendations turns into the one below, when only looking at the hands that should be played facing a reraise in a loose fixed limit game.
