Triple Draw is an increasingly more popular lowball - the lowest hand wins - variant. Basically, triple draw is a 5 card draw low game. Each player is dealt 5 cards and the goal is to make the lowest possible 5 card hand. However, instead of just one draw, there are three. There is a round of betting after each draw. The two variants of the game are 2-7 and A-5. What separates them are the hand rankings.
In Ace to Five - as opposed to Deuce to Seven - straights and flushes do not count against you and aces do play for low. This means that the best possible hand you can have is A2345 with flushes being irrelevant to the rank of the hand. To understand which hand is best, direct comparisons to 8/b games can be made. But in that case remember to only use half of the analogy as Triple Draw (A-5) is a low game, no split pots are used.
