Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliot is one of the most respected poker players in the world. He has been particularly successful on the tournament circuit and has become a tournament pro. He was born in 1954 in Hull. Hull is situated in England in the UK. This is where he started playing cards at age 14 and poker at age 18. His nickname on the other hand was earned at a trip to Las Vegas. The story goes that a Chinese opponent compared his playing style to that of a deadly fish. The kind of fish where you have to be extremely careful in preparation and cooking or else it will kill you! No one has argued with the merits of the nickname.
