Royal Vegas Poker, as every other poker room, makes money by collecting a set percentage of the total pot at the end of every hand. This is called "rake", and is essentially what the customers pay Royal Vegas Poker to play on their site. Only real money games are raked. Royal Vegas Poker has three different schemes for collecting the rake depending on whether the game is a fixed limit game, a 1-on-1 fixed limit game or a pot limit/no limit game. Within these schemes the rake is affected by the stakes, the number of players and foremost the pot size. First off the pot-limit/no-limit rake table is presented below.

The fixed limit games at Royal Vegas Poker are raked in a similar manner but the stakes at which they are used differs. On the higher limits the intervals at which rake is collected grows.

Heads-up fixed limit tables are raked differently. Royal Vegas Poker lowers the effective rake when there are only two people who contribute to the pot, at least for the games with moderately low stakes and above. The 1 on 1 fixed limit tables are raked according to the table below.

As other poker rooms Royal Vegas poker operates a No Flop - No Drop policy, meaning that they do not take any rake from hands that do not reach the flop (or equivalent in other games).
